Description 3-Hydroxy-DL-kynurenine-(butyric-1,2-[13C2]) dihydrobromide is intended for use as an internal standard for 3-hydroxy-DL-Kynurenine. It is an active metabolite of tryptophan and it also inhibits yeast and rat liver aldehyde dehydrogenase.
