Description 5-Fluorouracil-2-[13C,15N2] is an isotope analogue of 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU). 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is a pyrimadine analogue that irreversibly inhibits thymidylate synthase, blocking the synthesis of thymidine which is required for DNA synthesis. 5-Fluorouracil induces apoptosis and can be used as a chemical sensitizer. 5-Fluorouracil also inhibits HIV.
