Stable isotope-labeled compounds are used as environmental pollutant standards for the detection of air, water, soil, sediment and food.
In addition to treating various diseases, isotopes are used for imaging, diagnosis, and newborn screening.
Small molecule compounds labeled with stable isotopes can be used as chemical reference for chemical identification, qualitative, quantitative, detection, etc. Various types of NMR solvents can be used to study the structure, reaction mechanism and reaction kinetics of compounds.
Stable isotope labeling allows researchers to study metabolic pathways in vivo in a safe manner.

Description | Labelled Azacitidine. Azacitidine (Vidaza) is a chemotherapy drug used to treat conditions that affect the blood and the bone marrow, called myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). It may also be used to treat other cancers, such as acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) or chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia (CMML). It reduces hypermethylation associated with certain diseases, including myelodysplastic syndromes (IC50s = 2.4 and 2.6 μM for in vitro anti-myeloma activity) and cancer (IC50s ~0.4 μM for inhibiting proliferation of various cancer cell lines). It can also act as a demethylating agent by inhibiting DNA methyltransferase. |
