Description Pyruvic-2-[13C] acid is a labelled analogue of Pyruvic Acid which can be reduced to lactic acid during exertion, reoxidized at rest and partially converted to glycogen in muscles. Pyruvic Acid is also used as a diagnostic agent for Parkinson's disease.
