Chemical Structure

Description	Rifapentine-[d8] is an isotope analogue of Rifapentine. Rifapentine (Priftin) is a semi-synthetic antibiotic compound used in the treatment of tuberculosis and it inhibits DNA-dependent RNA polymerases and is effective against Mycobacterium species, including M. tuberculosis, as well as experimental infections caused by S. aureus, S. pyogenes group A, S. pneumoniae, and K. pneumoniae.
