Chemical Structure

Description	Sulfacetamide-[13C6] is the labelled analogue of Sulfacetamide. Sulfacetamide is a sulfonamide antibiotic as a dihydropteroate Synthase inhibitor. It is a competitive inhibitor of bacterial para-aminobenzoic acid, which is required for bacterial synthesis of folic acid. Sulfacetamide is used for the treatment of skin infections and urinary tract infections. It is also used to treat acne and seborrheic dermatitis.
